In part one, I walked you through cloning, customizing, building, and manually deploying your blog. In this follow-up, we automate deployment with Git and Netlify, connect your custom domain, and enable HTTPS via Let's Encrypt. This is the part that makes the blog "feel real."
If you read my last blog post (my first blog post actually 😊) you would see in more detail why I approach blogging the way I am approaching it. I did not build this from scratch, but I have leveraged the work folks from Tailwindcss already did. Most of my creative work is done from an IDE (VS code), and my workflow is; IDE to Git, then do some CI (continuous integration), build, and deploy (continuous delivery). And I have paid attention to what feels like home to me and what is natural to my creative process. Well, you get the idea, I'm a software engineer 😊.
I love trying out new things, and I have tons of things I still want to try out as a Software engineer; cool projects and cools ideas to learn with and solidify my knowledge. Also, I want a repertoire of things I have done in the past, quick access to my repository of cool stuff, to whip out when I need them.
